Heywood-Wakefield Revolving Cocktail Table

Heywood-Wakefield Revolving Cocktail Table

A  beautiful mid-century revolving cocktail table, Model M306, by Heywood-Wakefield from Snowdrift Antiques.

The Heywood Brothers furniture company formed in 1826 in Massachusetts and merged with the Wakefield Company in 1897. In 1921 they became Heywood-Wakefield. They first made wicker and rattan furniture. By 1949, Heywood -Wakefield designers were being asked to produce more modern furniture lines to keep up with the times and the tastes of American households.

This beautiful piece is the Round Cocktail Table, Model 306 G.  It is in the color “Champagne”, which after several decades is difficult to distinguish from the other Heywood-Wakefield color, “Wheat”. This model was made from 1947 through 1955. This piece has classic Heywood-Wakefield lines and the added feature of a revolving table top.

This table is excellent vintage condition. The color is still  bright and is free of water rings and blemishes. At around 70 years old there is  some very minor wear here and there but overall it is a beautifully kept Heywood-Wakefield piece.

It  measures 32 inches in diameter and stands 16 inches high.
