Mid-Century Chalkware Lamp with Musical Instruments Motif
This mid-century chalkware lamp is similar to the ones made by Quartite but this one is unmarked.
It has a white, textured ceramic base that is accented with 3 musical instruments...a normal horn, a lute and a clarinet... in a goldish-orange color on a light orange background. The base has a gold tone metal ring with a dark wood cap which is probably walnut. The neck up to the 3-way socket is the same dark wood.
The shade is a classic, slightly tapered drum shade with goldish-beige accent trim that coordinates with the musical instrument motif.
The entire piece measures 42.5 inches in height. It is 27 inches to the socket. The shade is 19 inches high with a lower diameter of 15 inches and top diameter of 13 3/4 inches.
This lamp is in excellent vintage condition. I find no chips or nicks and the wood has great grain and color. The cord and plug are original and work perfectly. The shade is clean and without stains or dents.
