$0.00Price

A mid-century two piece walnut china hutch by Hooker Furniture from Snowdrift Antiques..

The Hooker Furniture Company was founded in 1924 in Martinsville, VA by J Clyde Hooker. They were known for producing solidly built furniture at a reasonable price. They are still in business today with the founder’s grandson working as CEO.

In the 1960s they rode the wave of Danish inspired furniture with the Mainline line of furniture. It featured the classically clean lines favored by Danish designers. Their Mainline collection remains the most sought after and collected of their pieces.

This hutch is Model 310 from the Mainline collection. It is from the early 1960s. It is a two piece model with 1 sliding door on the bottom section that covers a large adjustable shelf storage space. The door is reversible and has rattan caning on one side and solid wood on the other. There is a single drawer above it on the right and three drawers to the left of it. Up top, there is a felt lined silverware drawer on the right and a single unlined drawer on the left. Above, there three open storage areas that can be optionally covered by sliding glass doors. There are tapered legs and stretcher bars underneath.

It measures 54 inches wide by 19 deep by 70 high.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition. It has some normal minor wear but overall is in great shape.
