Mid-century Danish Teak Chair by Korup Stolefabrik, 1960s
A vintage, mid-century teak chair by Korup Stolefabrik of Denmark, offered by Snowdrift Antiques.
Korup Stolefabrik was a Danish furniture manufacturer based in Denmark that produced mid-century modern furniture, particularly chairs, during the 1960s. The company's pieces, often made of teak, are recognized for their vintage Danish style.
This solid teak chair is the KS-21 model, produced by Korup Stolefabrik of Denmark in the 1960s. It is marked underneath. It features excellent Danish craftsmanship in beautifully colored and striated teak wood. The angled back leg extending up to the elegantly curved back is classic Korup style.
The foot print of this chair measures 21 inches by 20 with a back height of 29 inches.
This chair is in excellent vintage condition. The teak has been oiled to relieve it from the Colorado dryness. It has been re-covered in new Knoll fabric with new high density foam.
This is a beautifully designed and produced Danish chair that can stand alone or pair beautifully with the Danish teak desk we have in this shop.
