Mid-century Dining Room Table and Chairs by Drexel

$0.00Price

A mid-century dining room table with 4 chairs from the Profile line by Drexel Furniture offered by Snowdrift Antiques.

Drexel Furniture was founded on November 10, 1903 in Drexel, North Carolina. They are known for high end furniture in a wide variety of styles. In the 1950s and 60s they had several lines of furniture that embodied the mid-century modern style that were popular at that time. Drexel is still in business today.

This table is from the Profile line designed by John van Koert. The line was produced from 1955 to 1961. The table is Model K41 and the chairs are Model K60. The table is a drop leaf table with 3 leaves and its original protective felt pads. It was produced in August of 1958. The drop leaf design and additional leaves allow it to be configured in many different lengths. It measures 40 inches wide by 30 inches high. It can be setup for two people at only 40 inches long. Leaves can be added to extend it to 52, 64, 76 or 80 inches in length.

The chairs have the Profile spindle backs.  They have been professionally re-covered in Knoll fabric and new comfortable foam. The attention to detail on the front curve of the seat is remarkable.

This set is in excellent vintage condition. The table top is in excellent condition with no water rings or spots. The chairs are in excellent condition as described.  I find no repairs.  It has been oiled lightly to relive it from the Colorado dryness.

This is a beautifully done vintage dining room suite by Drexel.  We also have the matching Drexel Profile china hutch in this shop.
