Mid-century Drip Glaze Lamp by Phil-Mar
A vintage drip glaze Phil-Mar lamp with a its original drum shade, offered by Snowdrift Antiques.
This vintage ceramic table lamp is almost certainly made by the Phil-Mar Company in the 1960s. Phil-Mar is renowned for its “genie shaped” lamps with a polished drip glaze.
This one features a beautiful drip glaze ceramic body in various shades blue and green with a wave pattern. It has a long ceramic neck that pinches to a small diameter then flares towards the top of the lamp, beneath the shade. The base is wrapped in brass metal, a classic Phil-Mar accent. The vintage drum shade is almost certainly original to the lamp with a textured fabric and a nice coordinating border around the top. It has a 3 way socket.
It measures 40 ½ inches from table top to the top of the shade. From the table to the bottom of the shade measures 21 ½ inches. The shade has a 15 inch diameter at the top and 17 inch diameter at the bottom.
This lamp is in excellent vintage condition. There are no chips or nicks to the ceramic.
