Mid-Century Green Spun Acrylic Swag Lamp
A vintage green spun acrylic swag lamp offered by Snowdrift Antiques.
This is a hard to find lamp by an unknown maker from probably the 1960s. It is made with green fiberglass thread wrapped in a diagonal pattern. In the center is a plastic, opaque diffuser to keep the glare down, making it a great reading light. A gold tone vintage chain holds the electrical cord with a roller switch, allowing it to be swagged from the ceiling.
If desired, it could also be easily converted to a hardwired chandelier.
It has a horizontal diameter of 18 inches and vertical diameter of 12 inches. The chain measures about 11 ½ feet long with the cord about 14 feet.
The entire piece is in excellent condition. The lamp is intact with no fraying or wearing and great color. The gold tone hardware is shiny. The cord and plug are intact and are the classic translucent gold of the period.
This is a hard to find lamp with an unusual style that is a perfect accent piece for your midcentury decor.
