Mid-Century Highboy Chest by Kent-Coffey

$0.00Price

A mid-century high boy chest by Kent-Coffey from Snowdrift Antiques.

The Kent-Coffey Manufacturing Company was started in 1907 by Harold Coffey in Lenoir, North Carolina. Harold was a major influence in the North Carolina furniture industry during the early-twentieth century. They produced quality, durable furniture for a fair price.  Today, Kent-Coffey designs are some of the most sought after because of their vintage, eye-catching designs and durability.

This piece is a 5 drawer high boy chest from “The Escort” line in a stain Kent-Coffey called “Toffee Walnut”.  It has 5 stacked  drawers. The handles on the top two drawers are hand grips on the outer edges. The bottom three drawers have curved lips on top.

The dresser has classic mid-century lines with tapered legs and stretcher bars connecting them. The top left drawer has the Kent-Coffey/Escort mark.

The chest measures 40 inches wide by 18 deep x 46 high.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition. The wood has beautiful grain and color. It is structurally sound and without repair. It has been oiled lightly to relieve it from the Colorado dryness.

This is a classically beautiful, mid-century Kent-Coffey chest.
