Mid-century Italian Reclining Chair

A vintage folding faux leather chair by Mod Metal Far of Italy, offered by Snowdrift Antiques.
 
Back in the 1970s there were several companies based in Italy that made very stylish and attractive folding recliner chairs.  One of them was Mod Metal Far, the maker of this chair.
 
The chair features chrome plated hollow tubes as a frame. It is covered with a soft yet durable faux leatherette fabric. It can sit as more of an armchair or the footrest can be extended to provide leg support.  By lifting the padded armrests, it can be reclined. It can also be folded flat for easy storage when not in use. The two chrome tubes that sit on the floor have small black rubber sleeves on them to protect your floor. The company mark is inside and underneath an arm rest.
 
 
 
This chair is in excellent vintage condition. The chrome is shiny and without pitting.  The leatherette is soft and pliable and amazingly without nicks or cuts. This piece was well taken care of.
 
This chair would add mid-century style to a den, sunroom or anywhere it is placed.
