Mid-Century Salt and Pepper Shakers
A vintage pair of stainless steel and teak salt and pepper shakers by Arthur Salm of Sweden, offered by Snowdrift Antiques.
This pair of mid-century salt and pepper shakers are made of stainless steel caps with teak bases. The base of the shakers is marked 18/8 STAINLESS STEEL/AS SWEDEN. This mark tells us they were produced by Arthur Salm, a well known maker of flatware and service pieces in the 1950s and 1960s. This pair is from his line of service utensils called Scandia.
They stand 3 ¾ inches tall with a base diameter of 1 ½ inches.
This is a classically mid-century pair of salt and pepper shakers by a well known maker.
