Mid-Century Swag Lamp with Wood Fins and Milk Glass

A vintage, midcentury swag lamp made of milk glass and wood fins from Snowdrift Antiques.
 
This mid-century swag lamp is unmarked so we don’t know who made it.  It is full of 1960s style.  The center core of the lamp is beautiful milk glass. It has softly curved edges and tapers ever so slightly on each end.  It has 3 pins through it that allow a gold tone collar to rest comfortably and support 6 wooden fins.  The fins are slightly tapered as well, complementing the shape of the glass.
 
This lamp comes with a 16 foot gold tone chain that allows it to be plugged in conveniently, then swagged across the ceiling to where the lamp is hung.  The chain is original to the lamp. The cord was a little worse for wear over the decades so it was replaced with a new, vintage style gold translucent cord just like it originally had.  A roller switch was added so it could be turned on and off with that, or by a wall switch.  The vintage plug looked so cool it had to be kept.  This light could easily be converted to a hardwired ceiling lamp if you wanted and the cord and chain saved for later.
 
The lamp unit itself measures 20 inches long by about 7 inches wide.
 
This piece is in excellent vintage condition.  There are no nicks, chips, cracks or flea bites to the milk glass.  The wood fins are in excellent condition. The gold tone chain is shiny and free of pitting. As mentioned the cord and roller switch are new.  
 
This is a very beautifully done mid-century swag lamp, perfect for any room.
