Vintage Live Edge Bench

A vintage, live edge wooden bench by an unknown artist, offered by Snowdrift Antiques.
 
This is a beautifully done bench with striking wooden details and tapered legs. Unfortunately, it is not marked so we don’t know who made it. Based on where it was acquired, it is probably from the 1960s.  It is probably made from pine.
 
It maintains the natural curve of the tree and the details of the knots and wood grain.  Although the edges are “finished” it is very close to what is referred to as “live edge”. The legs are substantially supported underneath.  It is very sturdy. 
 
This bench measures 48” long  by 10” wide  by  15” high.
 
This piece is in excellent vintage condition.  It was oiled lightly to relieve it from the Colorado dryness and to allow the grain and color to pop. 
 
The style of this piece will allow it to sit comfortably in a rustic or mid-century room. It is truly a work or art from an unknown artist.
