A vintage framed print of an impressionist cityscape by Rico Tomaso offered by Snowdrift Antiques.

 

Rico Tomaso (1898-1985) was born in Chicago, Illinois. He was an illustrator, musician and painter. His works were featured in magazines, novels, and sold as paintings and lithograph prints. Tomaso studied at the Art Institute of Chicago with Wellington J. Reynolds. He also studied at the Art Students League of New York with teachers including Dean Cornwell, Robert Henri and Harvey Dunn. He is in Who’s Who of American Art.

 

You will find his works covering everything from matadors to cityscapes to floral stills to Victorian portraits. This one is a beautiful impressionist cityscape in tones of brown, orange, tan, yellow and golds with some blue thrown in. It is a beautifully done impressionist cityscape. In the left corner is the signature “RICO”.

 

It has been framed in a brushed gold frame with non-glare glass.

 

This piece measures 36 ½ inches tall by 24 ¼ wide by 1 38   deep.

 

This piece is in excellent vintage condition.  The artwork itself is pristine with vibrant color, no staining and no rough spots.
